The passenger frontal airbag inflator in your vehicle may rupture when deploying during a crash. The potential for such ruptures may occur in some of the subject airbag inflators after several years of exposure to persistent conditions of high absolute humidity. Honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed., Manufacturer Recall Number O41 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (Honda) is recalling certain model year 2001-2007 Accord, 2001-2005 Civic, 2003-2005 Civic Hybrid, 2001-2005 Civic NGV, 2002-2007 and 2010-2011 CR-V, 2003-2011 Element, 2002-2004 Odyssey, 2003-2008 Pilot, and 2006-2014 Ridgeline. A replacement driver frontal airbag inflator was installed in your vehicle to remedy a previous airbag inflator recall, or that a driver frontal airbag module containing the replacement inflator was installed in your vehicle as a service part. The replacement driver frontal airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure upon deployment. If an affected airbag deploys, the increased internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture., Dealer is not authorized to perform the recall repairs.
