Founded in 1949, the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to professional auctioneers. The NAA was built by auctioneers – for auctioneers. Headquartered in Overland Park, KS, the NAA represents the interests of thousands of auctioneers in the U.S., Canada and across the world as well as the individual auctioneer and a range of auction industry professionals, servicing a variety of markets. The association is dedicated to providing its members with educational programming and resources to help members grow and advance, as professional auctioneers. Members of the NAA abide by a strict Code of Ethics and are connected across an extensive network of peers.
The Investment Recovery Association is the professional organization for managers of surplus and idle assets and a diverse group of suppliers to the industry. With corporate investment recovery (IR) departments and the many organizations providing specialized services for them, the Investment Recovery Association is the premier resource for companies and individuals engaged in the professional management of surplus and idle assets.
The NIGP has been developing, supporting and promoting the public procurement profession through premier educational and research programs, professional support, technical services and advocacy initiatives that benefit members and constituents since 1944. With over 3,000 member agencies representing over 15,000 professionals across the United States, Canada and countries outside of North America, the National Institute for Government Procurement is international in its reach.
Founded in 1945, the Power & Communication Contractors Association is the national trade association for companies constructing electric power facilities, including transmission and distribution lines and substations and telephone, fiber optic, and cable television systems. Other areas of members’ business activities include directional drilling, local area and premises wiring, water and sewer utilities, gas and oil pipelines. The membership includes hundreds of companies located throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. These companies are the leading construction, manufacturing, supply, and service firms within the industry.
The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association represents financial services companies and manufacturers in the $628 billion U.S. equipment finance sector. ELFA’s mission is to provide member companies with: a forum for industry development, a platform to advocate for the industry, and a principal resource for industry information and ethical standards. ELFA represents more than 550 member companies, including many of the nation’s largest financial services companies and manufacturers, as well as regional and community banks and independent medium and small finance companies throughout the country.
Established in 1938 as the National Arborist Association, today’s Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) is comprised of more than 2,000 commercial tree care firms and affiliated companies. Our mission is to advance tree care businesses. TCIA develops safety and education programs, standards of tree care practice, and management information for arboriculture firms around the world.
Through research, technology, and education, the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) promotes the professional practice of arboriculture and fosters a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees.
The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) has served the tree care industry for more than 80 years as a scientific and educational organization. ISA was founded in 1924 when a group of 40 individuals, each engaged in a phase of tree work or research, were called together by the Connecticut Tree Protection Examining Board to discuss shade tree problems and their possible solutions. It was during this meeting that the group identified a need for gathering tree care information and for providing a means for its dissemination. The National Shade Tree Conference was founded soon after.
The Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference (EUFMC) is an annual meeting of fleet representatives from investor-owned utility companies. The objective of the conference is the dissemination of information pertaining to the procurement, application, operation and maintenance of equipment used by electric utilities. The meeting provides a forum where fleet representatives can exchange information and discuss mutual concerns. The conference promotes close cooperation between manufacturers, suppliers, services, and fleet representatives engaged in the development and design of vehicles and equipment associated with the electric utility industry.
NAFA is the world’s premier not-for-profit association for professionals who manage fleets of sedans, public safety vehicles, trucks, and buses of all types and sizes, and a wide range of military and off-road equipment for organizations across the globe. NAFA is the association for the diverse vehicle fleet management profession regardless of organizational type, geographic location, or fleet composition.
NAFA provides its members a full range of products and services, including statistical research, publications, regional chapter meetings, government representation, seminars, online information, and an annual Institute & Expo.
NRECA is the national service organization for more than 900 not-for-profit rural electric cooperatives and public power districts. NRECA members provide electric service to more than 42 million consumers in 47 states and whose sales account for approximately 12 percent of total electricity sales in the United States. NRECA’s members include consumer-owned local distribution systems and generation and transmission (“G&T”) cooperatives that supply wholesale power to their distribution cooperative owner-members. Distribution and G&T cooperatives share an obligation to serve their members by providing safe, reliable and affordable electric service.
The Alabama Rural Electric Association of Cooperatives (AREA) is a member-owned federation of 22 electric distribution cooperatives. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is a member of AREA and serves as wholesale power supplier to eight member cooperatives located in the northern part of Alabama. PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, also a member of AREA, provides wholesale power to 12 member cooperatives in the central and southern sections of Alabama. Southern Power also supplies wholesale power to Alabama cooperatives.
The Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives (AIEC) is the service organization for member electric and telephone cooperatives for the state of Illinois and their associate organizations. Our Mission – To provide leadership, expertise and unity of purpose in support of the cooperative utilities of Illinois and their efforts to improve the quality of life for their members.
Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC) is a statewide organization dedicated to representing the interests of cooperative electric utilities in Texas and the member-consumers they serve. Established in 1941 and based in Austin, TEC today represents 65 electric distribution cooperatives and the state’s 9 generation and transmission cooperatives.
