On December 20, 2024, JJ Kane Auctions acquired assets of Tampa Machinery Auction, headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Established in 1971 as a small farm equipment auction, Tampa Machinery Auction has expanded into fleet liquidation for government agencies, public utilities, corporations, dealers and the general public. TMA holds monthly auctions that attract buyers from around the country and abroad.
Acquiring TMA is a natural extension of JJ Kane’s current business and provides further expansion of JJ Kane’s government consignment business. The acquisition also increases the company’s auction presence in Florida, allowing it to better serve existing customers in that area.

Former Tampa Machinery Auction owners Dave and Jackie Nelson will remain involved with the business as consultants to ensure a smooth transition for customers.
