Massachusetts Port Authority Unclaimed Vehicle Auctions

Unclaimed cars and trucks from the Massachusetts Port Authority are available for purchase at JJ Kane auctions throughout the year. These vehicles are typically sold to recover parking space occupied by vehicles that were abandoned and have remained unclaimed on Massport property .

Vehicles are sold “AS IS” and without titles. Purchasers will receive a Bill of Sale citing the applicable statute authorizing the sale. The Bill of Sale provides that the Massachusetts Port Authority warrants title to the Buyer only against liens, encumbrances, and claims arising by or through the Massachusetts Port Authority, and not otherwise.

All Bills of Sale will be executed in the name of the individual or business registered with Proxibid at the time of auction. No post-auction changes to purchaser or ownership information will be permitted. Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of  the information they use to register with Proxibid prior to bidding.

The name appearing on the Bill of Sale must match the name of the registered bidder and cannot be modified after issuance. Replacement or corrected Bills of Sale will be issued only to correct administrative errors and not to change ownership, transfer ownership to another individual or entity, or otherwise alter the identity of the purchaser.

Massachusetts residents may obtain a title through the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. Residents of other states should consult their state’s department of motor vehicles regarding the ability to obtain a vehicle title in their jurisdiction. Neither JJ Kane Auctions nor the Massachusetts Port Authority makes any representation or assurance that a vehicle title can be obtained outside Massachusetts.

There are no minimum bids or reserve prices at our public auctions. The final selling price is determined solely by competitive bidding during the auction.

Members, employees, agents, and immediate family members of members or employees of the Massachusetts Port Authority are prohibited from bidding on or purchasing any unclaimed vehicles, surplus equipment, or other property sold on behalf of the Massachusetts Port Authority.
