NOTICE: There will be over 350 pieces of construction & underground equipment, power line & utility equipment, trucks, light duty vehicles & trailers that are surplus to the present needs of: National Grid USA, New York Power Authority,  New York State Electric & Gas, Rochester Gas & Electric & Others.

NOTE: Present or former employees and family members of the New York Power Authority are not permitted to purchase or bid on NYPA items.

LOCATION: National Grid auction facility, 5835 Success Drive, Rome, New York 13440, just off Route 69, 2 miles west of downtown Rome, NY 13440.

DIRECTIONS: From Syracuse Traveling Eastbound on New York State Thruway (I-90) – Take Exit 33 (Verona/Rome/Route 365). Pay toll and then follow Route 365 East 9 miles to Route 69 West (Following Downtown Rome Signs). Follow Route 69 West 2.5 miles through downtown Rome and make a left turn onto Success Drive (Rite-Aid Warehouse). Sale site is on right in the middle of the industrial park.

                        From Albany Traveling Westbound on New York State Thruway (I-90) – Take Exit 32 (Westmoreland/Rome). Pay toll and then follow Route 233 North 5.5 miles to Route 69 West (Following Downtown Rome Signs). Follow Route 69 West 2.5 miles through downtown Rome and make a left turn onto Success Drive (West Rome Industrial Park). Sale site is on right in the middle of industrial park.

TERMS: There will be a 10% buyer’s fee charged on all items sold.  Complete payment is required on sale day only in cash or guaranteed funds: traveler’s checks, money orders and/or bank certified checks.  Company & personal checks will be accepted “only” when they are accompanied by a valid bank letter of credit “guaranteeing or honoring” payment of that particular check up to a specific amount of money.  All letters of credit should be addressed to J.J. Kane Auctioneers.  International Buyers will need to wire transfer full payment directly from your bank to J.J. Kane Auctioneers bank account.  No International checks will be accepted.

BUYER’S FEE: There will be a 10% buyer’s fee charged on all items sold.

TAX INFORMATION: Titled Items: New York Residents – sales tax will be collected based upon the county where you reside. Out of State Residents – sales tax will be collected on behalf of certain states for certain vehicles and all others will pay sales tax at the time of registration in your home state. Non-Titled Items: sales tax will be collected from everyone at the rate of 8.75%.

Tax Exempt: ST-120 Resale Certificates, ST-125 Farmer Exemption Certificates & ST-119 Exempt Organization Certificates will only be accepted. Out of State Dealers will need to provide a copy of their tax exempt document. Failure to provide us with the correct completed form/information will necessitate that sales tax be collected.

LIVE INTERNET BIDDING: This auction sale will feature live on-line bidding through Proxibid. All prospective internet bidders are required to register on-line 48 hours prior to the auction sale with Proxibid (www.proxibid.com). All live internet buyers will be charged a 12% buyer’s fee and be required to comply with all the terms and conditions of the auction sale, including the payment and removal procedures. ABSENTEE BIDDING: Absentee bids must be over $10,000. There will be a 25% deposit required with all absentee bids that must be wire transferred to J.J. Kane. Call the sale site for the necessary forms and wire transfer information. Forms must be submitted with lot numbers, full descriptions, serial numbers and the exact amount of your bid(s). J.J. Kane reserves the right to round off bids to the most logical increment. All of the above requirements must be met by 4:00 PM E.S.T., Thursday, March 22^nd or the bid(s) will not be accepted.
