LARGE CONSOLIDATED UTILITY & CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT AUCTION SALE

There will be a large selection of construction, underground, power line and utility equipment, trucks, trailers & light duty vehicles that are surplus to the present needs of: PPL Electric Utilities, PSE&G Co, PECO An Exelon Company, Baltimore Gas & Electric, PEPCO, Atlantic City Electric, Asplundh Tree Expert Co., Townships, Boroughs & Municipalities, area contractors and others.  Everything will be sold at absolute auction to the highest bidder regardless of price.

Location

The auction sale will be held at the Danella Line Services Yard, 1402 Conshohocken Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA, 19462, just off Exit 18 of I-476.  Below are directions from all areas.


From Philadelphia Airport, Delaware & Walt Whitman Bridge – Airport take I-95 South, Delaware take I-95 North & Walt Whitman Bridge take I-76 West. Then all ways take I-476 North to exit 18B (Norristown). Turn right on Chemical Road, go ¼ mile and then turn right on Ridge Pike, go 1 ½ miles and then turn left on Conshohocken Road, go 250 yards to sale site on right.

From Pocono’s, NJ Turnpike & Harrisburg – Pocono’s take I-476 South, NJ Turnpike take I-276 West to exit 20 (I-476 South) & Harrisburg take I-76 East which becomes I-276 East in Valley Forge to exit 333 (I-476 South). Then all ways take I-476 South to exit 18 (Norristown). Turn right on Ridge Pike, go 1 mile then turn left on Conshohocken Road, go 250 yards to sale site on right.

Auctioneer Note

Due to the large quantity of items in this sale, we will be selling with (2) auctioneers rings selling at the same time. Auctioneer 1 will start at 8:30 AM and Auctioneer 2 will start at 9:00 AM. Watch our website for exact sales order.

 

Inspection

One day only on Friday, January 30th from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and sale day starting at 7:30 AM.  All customers entering the auction sale site must have photo I.D. and register in the sale site office trailer. 

 

Tax Information

Titled Items – Vehicles may be subject to sales tax based on state regulations, unless proof of exemption is provided. Non- Titled Items – tax will be collected at the rate of 6%.

 

Removal

During the auction sale as long as the removal activity does not disrupt the auction sale, for two hours after the conclusion of the auction sale, Sunday, February 1 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM or Monday to Wednesday, February 2 to February 4, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Everything must be removed by Wednesday, February 4 at 4:00 PM with no exceptions or a $50.00/day storage fee will apply.

Payment Terms

  • There will be a 10% buyer’s fee charged on all items sold.
  • Complete payment is required on sale day only in cash or guaranteed funds: traveler's checks, money orders and/or bank certified checks. Credit card payment will be accepted by Visa, Master Card, American Express & Discover. Purchaser will be charged a 3% service charge for all credit card transactions. Credit Card payments will be accepted in person with valid ID only. No payments will be accepted at any Live Off-Site locations nor by telephone. Credit card payment will not be accepted for California off site pieces. Company & personal checks will be accepted "only" when they are accompanied by a valid bank letter of credit "guaranteeing or honoring" payment of that particular check up to a specific amount of money. All letters of credit should be addressed to J.J. Kane Auctioneers.
  • A $25.00 administrative/processing fee will be applied to each titled piece regardless of exemption status.
  • International Buyers will need to wire transfer full payment directly from your bank to J.J. Kane Auctioneers bank account. No International checks will be accepted.

 

 

Additional Payment Terms

Full payment must be made by the close of business on the sale date, unless agreed to in writing by JJ Kane Auctioneers. Should Bidder fail to pay for any and all item(s) in full on the sale date, Bidder shall remain fully responsible for the purchase price and buyers fee. In addition to all other rights contained herein, if a default occurs and the full payment is not made on the sale date and as long as the default continues to occur, all outstanding financial obligations shall bear interest at the Interest Rate of 2% per month. The default interest rate shall apply from the date of the default through the time any judgment thereon is paid in full. If for any reason a court or arbitrator(s) deems this default interest rate excessive or impermissible, the arbitrator(s) or judge shall impose the maximum default interest rate permitted and all other terms contained herein shall remain valid and enforceable. JJ Kane Auctioneers shall be permitted to resell the item(s) and the Bidder shall be fully responsible for the difference of the purchase price along with the buyer’s fee and any additional cost regarding the resale of the item(s). Bidder understands that Bidder shall be responsible for all reasonable attorneys’ fees, court cost, default interest and other cost incurred by JJ Kane Auctioneers associated with the enforcement of this provision.

 

Buyer's Fee

There will be a 10% buyer’s fee charged on all items sold. The buyer’s fee is taxable.

Note:  There will be a 13% buyer's fee charged on all items sold Live Off-Site when the item is located in California.

 

Vehicle Titles

JJ Kane Auctioneers shall guarantee free and clear title for all vehicles sold to any buyer who has paid in full. JJ Kane Auctioneers however shall in no way be responsible for any losses, damages, attorney’s fees, cost of any kind, interest, punitive damages or any other type of damages resulting in and from a delay in obtaining title. JJ Kane Auctioneers shall use its best efforts in accordance with applicable law to obtain title to all vehicles however should a delay in the title occur, JJ Kane Auctioneers shall have no liability to the seller or buyer or any subsequent purchaser for any and all title delays for any reason whatsoever.

Live Internet Bidding

This auction sale will feature live on-line bidding through Proxibid. All prospective internet bidders are required to register 48 hours prior to the auction sale at the Proxibid website (www.proxibid.com). All live internet buyers will be charged a 12% buyer’s fee on all items sold with the exception of items sold Live Off-Site that are located in California where buyers will be charged a 15% buyers fee.  All live internet buyers will be required to comply with all the other terms and conditions of the auction sale. Absentee Bidding

Absentee bids must be over $10,000. There will be a 25% deposit required with all absentee bids that must be wire transferred to J.J. Kane. Call the sale site for the necessary forms and wire transfer information. Forms must be submitted with lot numbers, full descriptions, serial numbers and the exact amount of your bid(s). J.J. Kane reserves the right to round off bids to the most logical increment. All of the above requirements must be met by 4:00 PM E.S.T. two days prior to the auction or the bid(s) will not be accepted.

 

Like Kind Exchange Notification

Buyer is hereby notified that Asplundh has assigned to Northstar Deferred Exchange Corporation, acting in its capacity as a Qualified Intermediary, all of its rights but not its obligations, in any existing and future contracts to sell certain equipment. This notification will apply unless specifically excluded in writing.

  • The information listed on this site is only a guideline. In some cases, because of the location of the equipment, pictures were taken of like pieces and it may not the exact unit. Accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
  • Everything will be sold “As-Is” and “Where-Is” with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.
